The story of our band of adventurers started with a raft ride that ended rather poorly when our Dwarven guide caught an arrow to the chest. The raft quickly crashed, leaving us all to wake up in Caer Culphos in varying states of disarray. Eventually, the team came together, comprised of the following members….
Del’anoth – Half-Elf ranger
Meeroo – Halfling Thief
Aphis – Human Mage
Lynus – Human Warlock
Darius – Human Warlock
Brom – Human Cleric
Strom – Dwarven Fighter
The gang gathered the knowledge that there was a plague over the city that was causing people to become irrational and act somewhat like rage zombies… the running theory was that the plague had been brought to the city by bandits who fled from a tomb across the river. The tomb was said to be home to Tyrol, a mage who 80 years prior had been practicing Necromancy in the city and had supposedly killed the King’s Son when caught in the act. All that was known was that the morning following the alleged act, the King’s Coach was seen leaving the city with a coffin in it.
The gang banded together for various reasons and decided to make an investigation of the tomb. Upon arriving they made their way down into the depths, found a secret passage that seemed relatively undisturbed, and discovered a small shrine. After fighting a nasty slime, they discovered a ritual book and hammer, which directed them through a puzzle which they promptly solved, revealing a 50 ft hole. They descended via rope, began exploring, and quickly stumbled into a room that stank of undeath.
